Welcome February!

 

Can you believe it's February? I feel like we just celebrated the New Year and here we are! January had it's challenges in that many of us were still finishing up some things and letting go of things to make room for new beginnings that are coming your way this month with Eclipse Season and the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse.  I'm pretty excited about it! I feel like some great things are coming our way as soon as we finish up some of these housekeeping tasks that many of us are working on. 

I have a lot of magickal energy this year around us and I'm loving it.  If you practice witchcraft it's a great year to empower yourself by working with energy and to use it to try to help with the things that you want to see in your life and the world around you.  Sometimes it's the little things that everyone does that can go such a long time.  I chose the Unicorn for the photo for February as I loved Unicorns when I was little.  They represented magick, mystery and faith in the unknown.  These are all things that I find so important today and I encourage you all to embrace whatever helps to bring that energy into your life. Look for ways to bring a bit of extra magick to everything that you are doing each day!

February is a month of love.  For those of you in relationships, this is a great time to celebrate it. I think it’s important to know, though, that I definitely don’t just see this as a month for couples.   Share the love with friends and family and don’t forget those fur babies! It’s also an important month to bring that love around yourself as well.  Be sure that you are doing things to help bring some extra love into your life.  Light a red or pink candle and send some beautiful energy of love out into the world. A white candle and some quartz with it will help to extend that energy of love and add some calming energy of peace as well. 

Winter is here in New England! While we celebrated Imbolc yesterday which is the midpoint between the Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox we still have a lot of snow and it's so cold.  It's really beautiful though.  We took a drive today and the skies were so blue. It really made it look like a magickal winter wonderland.  That being said I know Spring is on the way and you will start to feel it move in this month, especially when we celebrate our New Moon this month on the 17th and the beginning of Eclipse Season with the Solar Eclipse.  It's a great time to start planting seeds for what you want to see in your future.

We just celebrated our Full Moon and we won't have another one until March. I love that it was in Leo and it really kicked off some great energy for us this month.  It has brought energy of courage and confidence to help you to finish up these endings and to get ready for the fire energy and energy of the heart coming your way this month. Let's take a look at what's coming our way!

I pulled the Five of Pentacles for the month. As you navigate the shifting energy around you and the beginning of Eclipse Season this month it's important to try to see things from different perspectives.  Listen to advice from others but remember you are the only one walking your path and the person that knows you the best.  It's always a good idea to gather as much information as you can and then make your own decision.  There's always different ways of doing things. If you find that you are stuck, don't settle for that.  Look for a different way to do things.  Remember that your path is yours.  If you decide that you are stuck you will be.  Even if you can't figure out how to change something or to get out of a situation if you start looking at it and trying to see things from different perspectives it will often help you to find a new way to do things.  Keep an eye on shifting energy as well.  You may find that 24 hours can make a big difference in things happening in your life.
