Snow Magick - Working with Snow Water

How many of you have snow right now? I know even parts of California that don't usually get snow got a bit last week! So I thought this would be a great time to write to you a bit about snow magick!

First, I think one of the biggest things to know about snow is that it brings the most wonderful cleansing and peaceful energy.  It also brings energy for new beginnings.  If you've ever spent time looking at freshly fallen snow with the moonlight shining down on it, making it sparkle at night, you know the calming energy it can bring.  It's something that I don't think I’ll ever get tired of.  There's something so magickal about it.  Almost as magickal is watching it come down and cover everything in a fresh blanket of snow during the day.

Something simple and easy to do is make snow water. You can use it in so many different ways! When snow is falling, gather newly fallen snow in a mason jar.  It will melt, and that's ok! :) It's a good idea to put a label on it with the date and the Moon phase. You can use it to help when you need a boost of cleansing or peaceful energy, or when you are trying to bring something new into your life.  You can use it to anoint candles that are used to help with the energy of peace or cleansing. Use it for purification around the home. Don't drink it or use it on yourself. You also should give it back to the Earth after a lunar cycle.

You can use snow water to cleanse ritual tools, stones, and gems that are safe to submerge in water.  You can dip your fingers in it and sprinkle it lightly on things that you are trying to cleanse.  Use it to give your plants a boost of new energy. :)  You may also be able to incorporate it into making some magickal art.  Maybe make a special offering for your guides or a loved one on the other side.  Look at ways that you can use water in your spiritual practice, and you will no doubt find ways that snow water can give your magick a boost!

I hope that you have an amazingly magickal day!

Much Love and Many Blessings,
