The New Moon occurs at 2:06 EST early in the morning on the 23rd or 11:06 p.m. on the evening of the 21st, if you are one of my friends located on the West Coast. This is why you may see conflicting dates for the New Moon between the 22nd and the 23rd. Your location in the world will determine what date it falls on for you. How many of you have been hearing this New Moon referred to as a Black Moon? Does anyone know what that means? It's not really an official term, but it has become quite the buzzword through the years. It's the third new moon in a season that will have four new moons in it. Typically, a season will only have three new moons, but every once in a while, things fall so that we have an extra one. So this makes the third new moon the black moon, and it typically only happens every 33 months. Noticing all those threes? It's part of why I had you work with the number three in the spell today! The number three has been coming up a lot for me lately and I definitely can feel its influence with this New Moon!
