Welcome to our Full Moon for July! Our July Full Moon is often referred to as the Full Buck Moon. It gets this name because this is the time of the year when the male deer start growing their new antlers. Our Moon this evening is going to appear incredibly low in the sky. You may hear it being referred to as a low-hanging moon for that reason. If you live in North America and you get out there early in the evening when you can first see it, you should find that it appears to be a large ball of orange in the sky. Last month, it had a similar effect, and I remember we went out to try to get pictures of it.
Our Moon this month is in Capricorn. It's bringing in some energy that you may find has you focused on the future and long-term goals. It's good to think about what you want for the future and to have goals for the things that you want. It's a great night to sit down and work with the creative energy that may have you dreaming about what you want. Just be careful that you don't drift into worries or fears about the future, as that isn't productive if they are founded on things that you can't do anything about. It's important that you pay attention to your thoughts and energy and make sure that you aren't letting yourself drift to places that you don't want to go.
