Full Moon Blessings!!!
Our Full Moon this month is actually on March 3rd at 6:38 a.m. EST, but given that we also have a Total Lunar Eclipse with this Full Moon I wanted to make sure everyone has the information that they need to see the Eclipse and to work with the energy of the Moon tonight if you so choose. So here we go!
Our Moon this month is often known as the Full Worm Moon. Why? As our Moon this month is close to the Spring Equinox the snow is finally starting to melt and the Earth is beginning to wake up. One of the explanations for the name of the Worm Moon is that as Spring comes the worms come out of the ground and this attracts the Robins back. I know here in New England for as long as I can remember I've been excited about that first Robin that I see because it means Spring is coming!! I've also seen it called the Sap Moon for the tapping of the Maple trees this time of year among other names.
Tonight our Full Moon is paired with a Lunar Eclipse. This is a Total Lunar Eclipse and it will be the last one until the New Year on 2028! The Moon is going to pass fully in the shadow of the Earth. When it does, you will find that it has a bit of a red appearance. This is what people are referring to as the Blood Moon. When you experience a Lunar Eclipse you essentially experience all the phases of the Moon in a very short amount of time. It's what contributes to the power of change that moves around you. For those of you who are sensitive to energy you definitely will want to spend some extra time with energy maintenance. Eclipse energy can pack a powerful punch!
Our Moon this month is in Virgo. I just love that it is. Virgo brings organization to chaos. When you are navigating Eclipse Season it brings so much fast paced energy of change I think that having the energy of Virgo come in at the end of the season with the Full Moon tonight is going to help smooth things out and help to illuminate the changes that you are working on in your life. I'm guessing if you look back over the last several months, there's a lot of change there for you to look at!! How many of you have been busy? It's not going to stop yet but this is a chance to look at what's been changing and use the energy of Virgo to help get things organized and under control and to think about any final changes that you may want to make going forward. Any time you work with the energy of an Eclipse it's a powerful time of endings and new beginnings. You can work with the spell that I gave you above to dig into that energy and see what changes you want to make.
I pulled the Five of Wands for the energy that this Moon is bringing our way and I believe it's an important message. Whenever you are working with a lot of energy of change you can get tired and overwhelmed. This is an important time to cleanse your energy, to ground and to come back to center. You're going to be ok! I know the journey has been a little crazy at times lately and you've been adapting to a lot but now is the time to start letting down those guards, exiting warrior mode and looking around. You are at a new destination. You've entered 2026, started the Year of the Horse and navigated most of Eclipse Season. How different does your life look right now? Take a deep breath and relax. While things may have felt a bit out of control lately as you've been navigating a lot of energy of change that hasn't been in your control know that the Full Moon tonight is bringing energy of change, but you will find it much easier to control and that's a good thing. You also want to be sure that you are moving any energy of unnecessary conflict or drama away from you For those of you that I've been reading for, this has been coming up a lot lately. There's a lot of conflict in the world around us. I intentionally don't bring it to anything I do with you. Be careful how much you take in. It's good to stay informed but always be mindful of your personal energy and the things that you are spending it on and how that is impacting your health and well-being. Let the red energy in the Moon this evening bring you confidence to bring more self-love into your life.
