Gravestone Recipes

To Die For: A Cookbook of Gravestone Recipes

How many of you would pick up a book with this title if you walked by it? I certainly did and so did my coworker! I agreed to let her take it first if she promised to bring it back to me. She loves to cook and was honestly just super curious to peek within the book which of course I did before she took it home. I've had it for the last couple of weeks and it's as great as I hoped it would be and I hope a lot of you have fun with this as well.

So what is it???

It's pretty much as described... a cookbook of gravestone recipes. :) The author is Rosie Grant and I love her book so much!

For as long as I can remember I have loved walking through graveyards. I love the art, the history, and the peaceful energy that can be found in them. I live in New England so there are a lot of great old cemeteries and gravestones to explore out here. One thing that I can honestly say is that I have never seen a recipe on a gravestone!! Yet it make so much sense! I've seen pictures of couples, their pets, favorite places, hobbies and all sorts of other things so why not a favorite recipe! I honestly think it's such a great idea!

I haven't been able to take a field trip to any of these yet but I have one that I want you to see for an example. Ready? Check out this link: Jennifer Ferrante Her headstone is a cookbook!!! On it is etched her favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies!

Within this book you will not only find recipes that were loved enough to be carved on headstones, but the author also reached out to the families to learn more about the people. Those who are remembered live. That's the thought with many of these. If you make Jennifer's chocolate chip cookies that helps her energy live on. Pretty neat right?

I think all of us have those family recipes that mean the world to us. I know you have heard me mention my Grandmother's Spinach Rice Casserole a lot. In sharing it with you I hope to help her memory live on. I think having it carved on the stones is such a great idea!

We need to also remember that graveyards were once used as beautiful places to picnic and to get together. Some of the ones that I've been to are so beautiful. I would like to think that the spirits of those who are there would love to have us there having picnics and finding happiness and of course being inspired enough to make their recipes.

📔Your Akashic Records 📚 Do You Know What They Are?

How many of you have heard of the Akashic Records? What would you say if I told you that you could go to a library that has a copy of every book ever written in the entire world, all perfectly preserved and accessible to you. How about if one of those books had an entire history of not only your life, this life, but every life you’ve ever lived. Would you be interested?

I’ve been studying the Akashic records for years now through various books and classes that I’ve been lucky enough to take. Sylvia Brown was the author of one of the first books that I read when learning about the records and her book had an influence on how I access the records. The book is called “Temples On the Other Side: How Wisdom from “Beyond the Veil” Can Help You Right Now” It describes all the various temples on the other side and their uses. It really helped me to understand differences in guides and their purposes here and how things all fit together if you will. Since reading that book I have “happened across”, many books that give essentially the same information. They all differ slightly but the main concepts are the same.

One of the temples that she talks about on the other side is referred to as the Hall of Records and that is where you will find the Akashic Records. I have also seen it called the Book of All. Basically it’s a huge library that holds every piece of information you could ever with to know. Within the Akashic records are all the details of your life this life, as well as any past lives. This information can be quite useful when you are trying to find your way. While you can tap into them, you still need to do so with a guide, but this can be accomplished through meditation. For some great meditations I suggest Sylvia Brown’s “Meditations for Entering the Temples on the Other Side” She really does a great job of explaining the other side and how we can access it. She has a wonderful gift of making it sound simple.

For those of you familiar with Edgar Cayce, he described the Akashic records as this: “somewhere there is a universal hall of data about past lives, magic, healing, and spirituality. It does not exist on the physical plane but rather on a more psychic level. ” It matters not what religion you are as pretty much every religion believes in the Akashic records in some form.

Through many years and many classes I have learned to access these records and it’s really amazing. You will find experiences and visions can vary from person to person. I typically see the Hall of Records as a white marble building. The marble almost seems to glow as you approach it. I’m referring to it as marble but it’s quite possible that it’s something else, that’s just the closes description I can think of.

When you walk inside it is just a huge library that seems to go forever. Huge book shelved that go from the floor to the season with every book that you could possibly imagine. There is a beautiful place to sit with comfy chairs and a glass table and on that table I will always find the Akashic Records waiting for me. This is a huge book…. it looks like an old antique book but the pages are incredibly clean. The most wonderful thing about this book though is how you read it. When I access the records this beautiful amber light forms around me and I can move through the book any way I wish. Sometimes I see pictures, sometimes movies, sometimes words. I can go whichever way I choose depending on what I’m looking for. Hopefully this description helps some of you who may be trying to learn.

It can be very helpful to learn to read them on your path or to have access to someone who can read them for you. For me, I’ve been able to pull additional details about past lives, and it’s helped me to remember things that were important to me this life. As we travel through many lifetimes, the knowledge from each lifetime stays with us, but is not always accessible to us. Reaching the Akashic records through meditation can help you with this. It’s helped me to understand some of my fears and work with them. It’s helped me to understand why I excel in certain areas, and why I have advanced knowledge in things that I’ve not yet studied in this life. I highly recommend both books, if this is something you wish to explore and you are ready. Pieces of You From the Past

I have always been interested in past lives. The other day, I found myself with a nice cup of tea, down a bit of a rabbit hole, looking at some past-life reports I had done for myself almost 20 years ago now. I spent the better part of that cup of tea perusing all the lifetimes that I've had. What was interesting was how much I could identify with each of the lifetimes that I had explored. I am an old soul and, as such, have walked many, many lifetimes. I know I've had a couple of you who have come up as old souls as well. I had forgotten how many lifetimes came back to me that I was some form of a Seer. Isn't that incredible? In one of the readings I had done, about 30 years ago, I remember being told that if I meditated and traveled, I would find my way back to my gifts. Here I am! It wound up being a full-time career for me in this life.

If you think about the life you are living today, the things you experience, the memories you have, the challenges you face, and the love you experience, they all go into making you who you are today. Now I want you to expand that thought. Think about how many times your soul has come back. Even if you are a newer soul with only one or two incarnations. What if I told you that your soul could hang onto things from the past? You may find you remember bits of it here and there through past-life readings and regressions. Even if you can't actively remember everything, your soul does, and those lives, those experiences, the love that you had all go into making you who you are today.

A story I have told many of you is from many years ago, when I was in a shop and picked up a pendulum for the first time. I didn't know what it was or what it was for, but I immediately started using it correctly. Of course, I didn’t really know that at the time, but I do remember the shop owner looking at me curiously. Fast forward to my shock and awe, a few weeks later, when I was taking a class on pendulums and realized I knew exactly what I was doing. Yet, I hadn't encountered that information in this lifetime before. I still work with that pendulum today to assist me with your readings.

Consider today who you may have been in a past life and how that may be impacting who you are today. It's an interesting thought to meditate on.

The energy of Mercury helps you to gain a greater understanding of the things that you are thinking and feeling. For those of you that have intuitive gifts you will find that they are often stronger on this day making it a great day to work with divination. Pay attention to y our thoughts today. You may find that they help you to figure out the answer to questions that you may have found yourself mulling over recently. If you are looking for answers or information, you may find that this is a good day to go looking for them. It’s also a powerful day to ask questions or have conversations with others as communication is strong today. It’s a great day for journaling or doing anything that allows you to express yourself. If you are working with magick today choose to work with energy that has to do with communication, expressing yourself or divination. Today is a great day to work with Amethyst, Citrine or Agate.

Today our Moon is Waxing, First Quarter with 3% visibility. We are currently in the first Quarter of the Moon known as our Waxing Crescent Moon. We recently celebrated our New Moon and the illuminated part of the Moon is increasing. As the light of the moon increases know that it will also help to illuminate things in your life. This is a great time to seek information or to work on growing things that you wish to see happen in your life. Set intentions for what you want to work on and try to take steps towards them each day. It’s also a great time to make sure that you are on a path that truly aligns with what you want in your life.

New Moon Blessings, Welcome to Eclipse Season and Happy Lunar New Year!

Today is a busy day with some great energy coming your way! First, congratulations on making it to where you are today! The last several months have probably been going by in a bit of a whirlwind of changes as you work on ending the Year of the Wood Snake and shedding anything that needs to be let go of to get ready for a new chapter in your life. For many of you, this has involved some major life changes! If you look back you may be astonished at just how much things have shifted! All of the work you have been doing has been leading you to where you are standing today... the new path that is waiting for you.

Today you start a new chapter in your life. Happy Lunar New Year! We are now beginning the Year of the Fire Horse! Horses represent freedom in life and fire brings you energy of passion. At the beginning of 2026 I told you that this was going to be a year that you were going to learn to walk a path that is authentic to you. This means living your life by honoring who you are and what you truly want. It's not always easy!! You are going to find that if you look back a lot of the challenges that you've been navigating have had to do with that or letting go of things that were holding you down or holding you back in one way or another. A lot of what you learned about yourself in 2025 is going to be incredibly important to decisions that you are making and things that you are doing in 2026. You are now standing on a new path ready to work with the energy of the horse and work with energy of freedom that is meant to help inspire you to live the life that you want to live. Are you ready?

Today we also celebrate our February New Moon. It's the beginning of a new lunar cycle and the energy moving in around you today is going to help set the pace for the next several weeks. Our New Moon this month is in Aquarius. The Moon in Aquarius helps to bring you energy that is going to help bring you more freedom in your life. Can you see how this really aligns with the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse? Powerful energy coming your way today. It also helps you to tune into your emotions and your intuition giving you a stronger sense of where you want to make the changes in your life this Eclipse Season. Be aware that this energy may trigger some emotional wounds. You are going to find that you are feeling things more deeply. This will help you to learn more about yourself and to dig into things that you are thinking and feeling but it may bring some added challenges for those of you who may be working through some emotionally challenging things or carrying some things in life that are painful emotionally. You may find that this energy brings some of those things to the surface. Be patient with yourself and get yourself time and space where you may need it. Work with lavender and rose quartz to help calm the nerves and anxiety and to bring more self-love around you. Make sure that you are taking some extra time to ground and center and most important...don't forget to simply take time to breathe.

Today is also the Solar Eclipse and the beginning of Eclipse Season. A Solar Eclipse is when the Moon moves between our Earth and the Sun casting a shadow over the sun. This isn't just any Solar Eclipse though, this is an annular Solar Eclipse. With an Annular Solar Eclipse, the Moon cover's the Sun's center and makes it look like there is a ring of fire around the Moon. This Eclipse will unfortunately not be viewable by many of us. You can check to see if you are in an area that will be able to see it here: Eclipse Viewing Map Just because you can't see it though doesn't mean you won't feel the energy bringing your way. Eclipse Season brings powerful energy of change. You may find that you are still letting go of some things but now is time to bring things towards you and to make decisions that help you to ensure that you are really on the path that you want to be walking in your life.

Things have the potential to move quickly. Don't let that throw you off. If you need some time to process things or to make decisions do your best to get yourself that time. Even when things are moving quickly around you, there are things that you can do to help things to move at a pace that you are more comfortable with. Be careful on taking in anything extra that can impact you in a negative way. So for instance it may not be the best time to read the news for six hours a day. You may find that you have all you can do to handle everything that is happening in your life on a daily basis. Take good care of yourself!! Be aware of how you are doing and make sure that you are getting yourself the things that you need. There is a lot of potential in the energy of change moving in around you and great things can happen. You need to be open to that energy of change and make sure that you are keeping on top of your health and well-being to make the most of it!
