The Night Of Hekate

 
In some traditions tonight we celebrate the Night of Hekate. The Goddess Hekate also known as Hecate is the Goddess of the Witches, Magic and keeper of the crossroads or gateway to the other side.  She is likely one of the better known Goddesses among the Witches.  We honor her on the Night of Hekate from sunset this evening until sunrise tomorrow.

Hekate was one of the first Goddesses that came to me and I'll be honest she scared the pea soup out of me.  She was the first Goddess that I actually heart...not as a psychic but in my ear.  It was the craziest thing and to this day I wonder if I was dreaming that night but I have talked to so many others who have had the same experience I believe it to be so.  She came when I first started my formal path as a witch.  I had made that commitment. I had finally stepped onto that path and acknowledged where I belonged.   It would make perfect sense to me that she would come to me then.  I wasn't quite ready then as I was just stepping tentatively onto my path and coming from a Christian background some things definitely made me nervous.  After a lot of research and understanding I shed all of those initial fears and I couldn't be happier with the path that I chose.  I also finally decided to acknowledge the title of Witch several years ago as well. I initially used Wiccan as I did believe it softened things for others? People tend to not find it as scary.  On my path and through all the studying I did and teachers that I was blessed to work with I realized that I am 100% witch. I always have been and I always will be.  I have no doubt walked many many lives as one.

I learned to embrace Hekate at a time in my life where I was walking through some scary times.  I found comfort in her power and her protective energy.  I worked with her energy to learn how to gain in strength and confidence and to stand my ground when I needed to.  As an empath I found that I tended to let people tell me who I was and what to do.  I learned to reclaim myself and my life with the aid of her energy and to this day I still work with the Goddess of the Witches.

If you work with her, tonight is a great night to celebrate that connection. If you don't work with her you may want to introduce yourself to her.  She is a wonderful Goddess to connect with.

The Season of the Stars

 

Perspective is so important in life.  It really contributes a great amount to the way you view your life and the experiences that you have. 

I was reading the other night and I read a comment from a lovely lady that we are entering the season of the stars.

Wow…….

I just sat there and let that sink in for a minute.  We absolutely are! As we are now in a time where the nights are longer than the days we are most definitely in the season of the stars. How amazing is that? It’s a wonderful way to view this time of the year. 

If any of you struggle with seasonal depression at all, embracing a view like this can go a long way to help.  Before I got so involved in my gardens I didn’t mind this time of year at all.  What’s not to love about October?  In November and December we have all the holiday lights.  As we pass the New Year we are growing closer to longer days once again and can look forward to Spring. 

This vision of it being the season of the stars I just adore.  It is one that I have adopted along with my season of the witch.  The season of the stars will carry us through to the Spring Equinox.   Some of the most beautiful skies that I have ever seen at night have been during the winter.  We use to have an outdoor jaccuzzi a long time ago and I would love sitting out there during the winter because the stars were so clear.  It was just so beautiful out there.   I would bring a mug of hot tea or hot coco and sit there for hours.  My jaccuzzi has long since broken so that’s no longer an option for me but I still have this wonderful deck in my backyard to watch the stars from. Earl and I are already making plans to go out and watch some of the meteor showers this winter because we had such a great time with it during the Summer.  We are going to go out there armed with blankets and warm drinks and take in those beautiful skies.

I was reading for the Daily Oracle today and a card came up about finding peace and sanctuary in your life. It’s not uncommon for a card to come up telling us that we need time to find peace or to rest. Welcome to your November Full Moon!! It's a pretty special Full Moon as it is the second of three Supermoons in a row that we are going to have to help us close out 2025.  We experience a Supermoon when the Moon comes to the closest point to the Earth in it's orbit.  Many of you will notice that it appears to be much bigger in the sky.  It can really be beautiful.  A supermoon is known to bring more powerful energy and it often illuminates things in your life that you need to see. 

Our Full Moon tonight is bringing some powerful energy that is going to help illuminate your strengths in life and those things that make you who you are.  This is going to help empower you to work with some important energy of change that is around you in your life right now.  For many of you this started in October and it's still moving with you, though you should find it's moving at a bit of a slower pace.  The energy of this Moon is going to invite you to dance with life.  Remember to live and to do those things that put a smile on your face.  Our lives are so short and there is so much change in them you never know how long you will be standing in one place so be sure to take everything in where you are and enjoy what you have happening in your life right now.  Energy of change is bringing some powerful transitions in your life and the energy from this Moon is going to help you with them. 

Our Moon tonight is in Taurus.  Taurus brings beautiful Earth energy. If you have a chance, go outside today to spend some time with Mother Earth and to help amplify the energy that this Moon is bringing you.  Carrying a crystal like Moissanite is a great choice today.  It has energy that helps you to navigate transitions in your life.  It's actually harder to find now as it has become incredibly popular.  It looks a lot like a diamond but I honestly think it's prettier.  I have a Moissanite ring that I truly love.  If you take it outside in the sun it bounces the light and you can see the rainbows shimmer in it.  It can bring beautiful light energy and energy of hope and promise for the future. 

The Moon is Taurus is bringing you energy that is going to help you to feel more grounded. For those of you who have been feeling scattered or unsettled you may feel like a weight is starting to get lifted from you and you may even feel like it's a bit easier to breathe.  You must work with this energy though. Make sure you take time to ground and center today to help move the energy around you so that you may release anything that is holding you down or not in your best interest.

Welcome November!

 

 

Welcome November!
 

Happy Witch's New Year and welcome to November! This has been a bit of a bizarre year for me.  We actually didn't do the pirate decorations this year for the first time in several years.  What I found even more interesting was that a lot of people in our area that normally decorate for Halloween didn't decorate this year either. I'm thinking because the weather has been a bit warmer here than usual. I feel like we are just in the second week of October here based on the weather we are having and how the trees look.  Usually on Halloween all the leaves are down off the trees and you can scuff them with your feet as you go to collect your treats.  This year it's so different. There are so many trees that still have their leaves.  The lawns are all really green... in fact more green than they've been in a while because we are finally getting rain... and there's still a fair amount of flowers in people's yards.  It's definitely interesting.  So as we are starting November, I personally feel like I am starting October.  It's a bit disorienting honestly.  Yet here we are!!  Welcome to November! 

We've had some powerful energy of change around us and as we navigate the coming months I see that slowing down a bit and stabilizing but not leaving.  On Wednesday we celebrate our Full Moon for November.  It is the second Super Moon of three that we have to close out 2025 and help us welcome in 2026.  If you are looking for the reading and haven't booked it yet,  you can find it here: November Full Moon Reading.  I also left the 2025 Witch's New Year reading up for you for another day or so. I am working on those this week.
